What HelpMyNest is, what we verify, and what we don't.
HelpMyNest is a technology marketplace that helps East Bay residents discover and connect with local independent service providers. We are not a service provider, employer, or guarantor. Providers are independent businesses. You and your provider arrange all pricing, scheduling, and payment directly.
Unless a provider profile is specifically marked with a HelpMyNest verification badge, we have not independently verified the provider's:
Profile information — including license numbers, insurance policy numbers, years of experience, and references — is provided by the provider and is self-reported.
HelpMyNest is building a voluntary verification program. When a provider holds a verification badge, it means HelpMyNest reviewed a specific document at the time shown. Verification reflects a point-in-time check and does not guarantee ongoing licensure, insurance, or service quality. Even verified providers are independent businesses acting outside HelpMyNest's supervision.

All providers on the platform agree to our Provider Agreement and Community Guidelines, which require accurate self-reported information, professional conduct, and compliance with applicable California law.
We encourage every customer to independently verify provider credentials, ask for proof of license and insurance, and check references before hiring or allowing access to your property. Do not pay in full upfront.
If you encounter a provider who you believe has misrepresented their credentials, behaved unprofessionally, or violated our guidelines, please email support@helpmynest.com. We review all credible reports and may remove profiles that violate our standards.
