Before any provider appears on HelpMyNest, they go through our application review process. Here’s what we check — and what our review does and does not include.
Every applicant provides their trade, years of experience, service area, and contact details. Our team manually reviews each application — no automatic approvals.
Applicants for licensed trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general contracting) are asked to provide their license number and insurance policy information. This information is displayed on their profile as self-reported and has not been independently verified by HelpMyNest unless explicitly marked as such.
We review the applicant's profile for completeness and accuracy before publishing. Profiles that contain prohibited language (e.g., 'vetted,' 'guaranteed') or clearly inaccurate claims are not approved.
After approval, we monitor reviews, dispute history, and responsiveness. Providers who fall below a 4.0★ average or accumulate unresolved disputes are subject to suspension pending review.
Providers must comply with our Community Guidelines at all times. Reported violations are reviewed by our team. Serious or repeat violations may result in removal from the platform.
HelpMyNest does not run universal background checks, independently verify licenses against CSLB or other databases, or guarantee the quality, legality, or safety of any provider's services. License and insurance information displayed on profiles is provided by the provider and is self-reported. We encourage you to verify credentials independently before hiring.
