Everything you need to know about booking services, joining as a pro, and how HelpMyNest works.
Browse local service providers by trade and city, view their profiles and reviews, then either contact them directly or submit a quote request through HelpMyNest. When you submit a request, the provider receives an SMS and email notification. If they accept, they'll reach out to you directly to discuss the job and pricing.
Yes, completely free. HelpMyNest does not charge homeowners to browse profiles, contact providers, or submit quote requests. You pay the provider directly for any services performed.
Yes. Many provider profiles display a phone number and email address so you can reach out on your own. Submitting a quote request through HelpMyNest is an optional convenience — not a requirement.
Your request is sent to the provider via SMS and email. The provider reviews the details and chooses to accept or decline. If they accept, you'll receive a notification and the provider will contact you directly to confirm the job, timing, and pricing. HelpMyNest is not a party to that agreement.
Yes. Provider profiles display reviews left by other homeowners. Reviews help you compare providers and make an informed decision before reaching out.
Profiles display the business name, trade, service cities, years in business, and any reviews left by homeowners. License and insurance information, where displayed, is provided directly by the provider. HelpMyNest presents this information as-is and encourages you to verify credentials independently before hiring.
No. HelpMyNest is a technology platform that helps you discover and connect with independent service providers. We do not perform services, employ providers, supervise work, or guarantee results. Any agreement for services is directly between you and the provider.
We recommend verifying any license claims independently — California contractor licenses can be checked at the CSLB website (cslb.ca.gov). Ask the provider to confirm they carry liability insurance. Get a written quote or agreement before work begins, and confirm scope, timeline, and payment terms directly with the provider.
If you haven't heard back within a reasonable time, feel free to reach out to another provider or contact support at support@helpmynest.com. Providers who consistently fail to respond to requests may be removed from the platform.
HelpMyNest is currently focused on the East Bay — including Oakland, Berkeley, Fremont, Hayward, Concord, Richmond, San Leandro, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, and surrounding cities. Enter your city on the search page to see providers in your area.
